What Is the Weather Like in Makkah and Madinah in February?

February weather in Makkah averages 24–30°C during the day and around 18°C at night. Madinah is cooler, with daytime highs near 24°C and nights that can drop to 11°C. Rain is rare in both cities.

For Canadians escaping -20°C winters, February in Saudi Arabia feels like a gift. But pack smart:

• Light layers for the day: Cotton clothing keeps you comfortable through afternoon prayers and Tawaf.
• A warm layer for nights and early mornings: Fajr in Madinah in February can feel genuinely cold, especially in the open courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque. Bring a fleece or warm shawl.
• Comfortable, broken-in walking shoes: You will walk more than you expect, often 10+ kilometres a day.
• A small umbrella is optional: February sees occasional light rain, but nothing that disrupts worship.

Do Canadians Need a Visa for Umrah?
